Every year, the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) rates all Pennsylvania public schools based on student growth, student performance, student attendance, school graduation rates, career education, and more.
PDE uses two rating tools, the first being the Future Ready PA Index. PDE uses colors and arrows to highlight ratings for each Pennsylvania public school. This information can be found at: https://futurereadypa.org/
The other rating tool is the School Performance Profile (SPP), also known as the Building Level Score. PDE uses a number to rate each Pennsylvania public school. The highest possible score is 107. You can find the scores for all Pennsylvania public schools at: https://www.education.pa.gov/Teachers%20-%20Administrators/Educator%20Effectiveness/SPP/Pages/SPPResults.aspx
At WASHS, our students and teachers have been doing their best to continue to uphold successful ratings over the past five school years. We encourage you to review these rating tools and compare us to our district's schools, as well as to other public high schools around the county and state.
