On Wednesday, January 24, WASHS hosted it's first Induction Ceremony into Spanish National Honor Society!
New members are Angie Ayala Luna, Katie Baker, Hope Bateman, Isabella Cartwright, Lily Cool, Avri Delauter, Nayley Guzman, Sydney Hanosek, Marissa Hedin, Emaris Laureano, Maia McDonald, Jetzell Medel, Ellie Moore, Rachel Moore, Brianna Nickel, Ella Nunemaker, Kaitlyn Peterson, Trianny Feliz Roman, Franchesca Cruz Santos, Lydia Shank, Tatyana Serrano, Ella Swart, Alexis Swiney, Savannah Swiney, and Liliana Chavez Vargas.
The officers are Julia Shatzer, Zoe Muck, Eve Phillips, Brock Myers and Lily Lehr, who are also newly inducted members.
Advisor is Mrs. Kelly Dietrich.
Criteria for membership, as per the club by-laws are as follows:
The student is actively enrolled in a level three Spanish class or higher or has completed all the Spanish levels currently available.
The student has completed three semesters of Spanish.
The student has a GPA of 85% or higher.
The student has a cumulative Spanish average GPA of 3.5 or higher.
The student has a good behavior record. The student should not receive more than one detention per semester and should not have any in or out of school suspensions on their student record.
