Good evening Summitview families, Please review the important announcements listed below.
- Due to the forecasted rain on Friday, Mr. Hedrick and I have agreed to postpone field day until Tuesday, June 1, 2021.
- Tomorrow, Thursday, May 27 will be the last ice cream day of the school year. Please make sure your child has $1 or money on their lunch account if you would like them to purchase ice cream tomorrow.
- MESSAGE FOR 5th GRADE FAMILIES ONLY: Today your child brought home a letter regarding a developmental maturity lesson that is part of WASD’s wellness curriculum. This lesson will take place Friday, May 29 and will be taught separately to the girls and to the boys by our school nurse, Mrs. Barnhart, and our PE teacher, Mr. Hedrick. WASD respects that some families may prefer that their child not be part of this lesson. If that is your family’s desire, please sign and return the letter sent home in order to opt your child out of this lesson. No action is needed in order for your child to participate.
- As a reminder, the last day of school for learners in Thursday, June 3. Learners will be dismissed at 12:00 noon (please note this is an earlier time than other early dismissal days this year). Please make arrangements for your child to be picked up from school on time or met at the bus stop as staff have meetings in the afternoon.
- End-of-Year Report Cards will be posted to the Sapphire Community Web Portal ONLY on Monday, June 7 at 4:30 pm. Please contact Mrs. Ebersole via phone at 717-762-1191 x1800 if you need assistance with your Community Portal Account.
