A few reminders for the last few days of the school year:
- Learners were sent home with a paper copy of our end-of-year calendar for the last two weeks of the school year. You can access an electronic copy of this calendar HERE. Please note that there is no school for learners on Monday, May 31 is observance of Memorial Day. Additionally, the last day of school is Thursday, June 3. Learners will be dismissed at 12:00 noon. Please make arrangements to pick up your child on time, either from school or from the bus.
- In addition to what is listed on the calendar, I wanted to remind everyone of our two final spirit days. First, tomorrow, Friday, May 21 is beach day. Learners may not wear bathing suits or flip flops. Second, the last day of school, Thursday, June 3 will be ‘Boro or Summitview Spirit Day.
- The other side of the calendar contains the school supply list for the 2021-22 school year. You can access an electronic copy of this school supply list HERE.
- Thanks to the hard work of our PE teacher, Mr. Hedrick and with the support of our entire staff, we are excited to share that our annual field day will be held on Friday, May 28 (Rain Date will be Tuesday, June 1). Each grade level will be outside for about 90 minutes. Learners should wear clothing appropriate for the weather of the day as well as sneakers. All learners should bring a water bottle. Learners may bring sunscreen (will need to put it on themselves) and a hat.
- Please remember that we do not have ANY water fountains at school this year as all water fountains were converted to water bottle filling stations. As the weather gets warmer it is very important that each child comes to school with a water bottle each day. We do not have enough cups and/or disposable water bottles to provide to each child every day.
