A few reminders as we move into May:
- Tomorrow, Saturday, May 1 is the deadline to place your order for shirts in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Summitview. We are accepting online orders only through the Olympian Athletics website. PLEASE list your child’s name, grade, and HR teacher in the “notes” section when ordering. Click HERE to order.
- Please click HERE for the May/June calendar. Note that there is no school for learners on Monday, May 31 in remembrance of Memorial Day. Also, the last day of school is Thursday, June 3. Elementary schools will dismiss at 12:00 noon (note this is a different time than other early dismissal days throughout the year).
- As a reminder, we will begin PSSA testing for learners in grades 3, 4, and 5 on Tuesday, May 4. Please be aware of the following:
- Grade 3 and grade 4 testing begins at 9:00 am. It is ESSENTIAL that your child is on time for school (before 8:50 am). If your child is a walker or car rider who eats breakfast, I suggest making sure he/she is here by 8:45 am in order to have time to eat before testing.
- Grade 5 is testing in the afternoon, from 12:00 noon through 2:10 pm. PLEASE alert the school in the morning if you need to pick him/her up early for an appointment, or reschedule the appointment if possible. PSSA guidelines prohibit learners from working on a test section over two days.
- Grade 5 learners are testing online and need to have their Chromebooks fully charged when they arrive.
- If you signed up for snacks and have not sent them in yet, please send them with your child on Monday.
- Learners may bring a water bottle to keep at their seats during testing.
Thank you and have a great evening!
