A few updates for March:
- Report Cards were posted to the Sapphire Community Web portal today at 4:00 pm. Printed report cards will not be sent home. If you have questions about your child’s report card, please contact his or her homeroom teacher. If you need assistance with your Sapphire account, please contact Mrs. Ebersole at 717-762-1191 x1800.
- PTO’s monthly Domino’s Pizza Night is tomorrow, Thursday, March 11. This is a fundraiser for PTO and we appreciate your support!
- Reminders about the March Calendar
- Thursday, March 18 is a scheduled early dismissal day. Please make arrangements for your learners to be picked up on time. Our dismissal time is 12:50 pm.
- Friday, March 19 and Monday, March 22 are Remote Learning days.
- Please remember that Remote Learning days are school days and participation is required for attendance and academic purposes.
- March 19 will now be an independent learning day. Learners will participate in a live morning meeting and then complete independent activities.
- March 22 will be a day of live instruction, where learners will need to log in at specified times with their teachers.
- Spring break begins Thursday, April 1.
- Yearbooks are now on sale for $7. Please click HERE to order online. If you need a paper order form, please email Mrs. Ebersole at pam_ebersole@waspda.org. Deadline to order is Wednesday, March 31. This is the ONLY way to guarantee a yearbook for your child.
- Follow-up from Pajama Day Fundraiser. I am thrilled to share that we raised $420! Student council members selected three charities who each received a $120 donation – Antietam Humane Society, New Hope Shelter, and St. Jude Children’s Hospital. The remaining $60 were donated to the scholarship fund established in memory Mr. Charles Thomas, long-time WASD substitute teacher.
- COVID reminder - I wanted to again remind our families that we need to continue to be diligent with our COVID safety protocols as we move into the last third of the school year. Please reinforce the importance of wearing masks with your child as that is the expectation at school. I have not had many issues with mask wearing all year but have addressed several learners this week and am getting feedback from teachers that some learners are needing frequent reminders. Thank you for support in keeping our learners and staff safe and keeping our school open!
Thank you!
